Some days I leave the house so early and get home so late that I have to pack breakfast, lunch, AND dinner. I like measuring out my servings the night before and putting everything in ziplocks to make getting out of the house easy.

However, this seems incredibly wasteful. Between J and I, we are just flying through plastic baggies. We’re talking granola, egg muffins, fruit, etc… I don’t like the idea of using plastic storage containers either (too bulky). Anybody have a suggestion for an alternative?

Keep it simple.

I noticed that people tend to make things more difficult than they need to be.  Take a step back and ask yourself if the complexity is really necessary.  9 times of out 10 you will see that is there is a simpler way. (via jeffmurnan)

**I need to remember this. I often worry myself into a tizzy over things that should really just be kept simple!**

J’s birthday is quickly approaching! He’s turing the big 2-5, so we’re going to have to celebrate in style. He’s awesome at giving gifts, so I need to step it up! :)

This is where you come in…. help me brainstorm! He’s into techie stuff, fitness, etc…

What do I get a 25 year old guy?

These are a good price ($5 instead of the usual $20), but I don’t know if they are any good or even make sense for me. Has anybody used any of Bob Harper’s fitness DVD’s? Any suggestions or recommendations?

Haha- I love this entire list, but here are a few of my favorites:

4. No one in the history of gyms has ever lost a pound while reading “The New Yorker” and slowly pedaling a recumbent bicycle. No one.

14. You can take 10 Minute Abs, 20 Minute Abs, and 30 Minute Abs. There is also Stop Eating Pizza and Eating Sheet Cake Abs—but that’s super tough!

23. Everyone sees you secretly racing the old people in the pool.

25. Fact: Thinking about going to the gym burns between 0 and 0 calories.

26. A successful gym membership is like a marriage: If it’s good, you show up committed and ready for hard work. If it’s not good, you show up in sweatpants and watch a lot of bad TV.

Today is my 4th day of Brazil Butt Lift. I’m no longer painfully sore (yay!) and I’m getting better at the moves (double yay!). Yesterday was a repeat of Bum Bum - I definitely got more out of this workout than I did the first time. I knew how to do to moves, so I was able to concentrate on form and pace.

Today I’ll be doing Cardio Axe and High and Tight. I did Cardio Axe on Wednesday and really liked it. It definitely gets my heart rate up and the sequences are fun. This is a huge bonus because when I’m having fun, I don’t concentrate on the relative *pain* of the moment. High and Tight will be new for me - excited to see what it’s all about! (And a bit relieved that I don’t have to do Tummy Tuck again until next Tuesday - ouch!)

I didn’t make it to the gym yesterday. I’m contemplating whether I should run today along with the 2 videos - don’t want to burn out but I also don’t think I’m getting enough out of BBL alone.

Anybody else doing BBL? How is it going so far?
